In the beginning of time, there was a darkness. that darkness swarmed across the lands, killing, enslaving, and corrupting all that it came across. Then a resistance was made: A band of fighters who refused to bow down to this darkness, and fought back. There were 8 leaders of this group, each with a special, magical companion who had mysteriously hatched from an Elemental Egg. These 8, with the help of the resistance, were able to drive back the darkness, and free their lands.
It has been thousands of years since those events, and the darkness has come again, but with no heroes, they took over the entirety of the land. Now, a new resistance is forming, and the chosen ones are slowly finding their Elemental Eggs...
I am sorry that I have disappeared for these last few months. I have been preoccupied with other sites and life, but now I'm back, and ready to start accepting some new heroes! With Earth resigning, we have the Earth creature Willow open for a new earth hero!

However...
The peace lasted only for a moment. Traitors from within the resistance, during a dark, stormy night, assassinated the 8 heroes and their mystical companions, but not before each had found a new elemental egg, and hid them away in a special grove, where those who would ride in the hero's steed would be able to find them.
It has been thousands of years since those events, and the darkness has come again, but with no heroes, they took over the entirety of the land. Now, a new resistance is forming, and the chosen ones are slowly finding their Elemental Eggs...
Which side will you choose? Will you be with the Darkness, and try to crush any resistance that is formed? Or maybe you will be part of a new resistance, a fighter, who hopes to bring back the land that he or she once loved? And maybe if you are REALLY lucky, and very skilled, you may come across an elemental egg, and become one who will save their peoples, and their world from the oppressing darkness...

But why exactly DID the Darkness come? Why they fight with such a ferocity? Why they enslave?
Before even coming to this land BEFORE the first War of Darkness, the Darkness themselves lived on a harsh land, filled with bitter fighting against other enemies. However... There was one race in particular that they feared the most... The Werepyres....
The Werepyre race was fearsome, which stood far above many Darkness. They were a cross between two extinct races: The Lycans, and the Vampires. They stood tall like a werewolf, with many traits such as snouts and claws. However, their fur was black as night, and two large, bat-like wings sprouted from their backs. They also had long, razor sharp fangs which they used to drain their victims of blood and then tear their flesh apart to feast upon. What's worse, their main delicacy was, as you may have guessed, Darkness.
These demented creatures of nature terrified the Darkness, which made them flee their homeland, and land upon ours, which started the first War of Darkness. They were driven back to their old lands, where the Werepyres had calmly waited, pretty much driving off all the other races.
But the Darkness were smarter, learning much from the first war. They slowly started to kill off the main packs of Werepyres, starting with the weak ones at first, then steadily getting at bigger and bigger packs. Soon they had killed all but one very weak pack, and they left it alone.
However, the Darkness came across a new problem: The Werepyres had killed off most of their food. This is what caused the second War of Darkness.
Now, however, that small pack of Werepyres that the Darkness had left alone has grown, and now, they are pissed off and out for blood. Darkness blood.
