Jacob smilied, taking his hand off the shoulder of the old woman who had found him in a ditch a few days ago, and took him in.
" Thank you, I'm really glad you helped me out, but I need to go. I can't remember anything before this week. I have to go out there, find out something about my past. " The old woman nodded silently.
" I don't want you to go.. I will miss you.. " She said.
" I know.. Goodbye. " Jacob turned and walked out the open door.
Jacob really didn't want to leave much. It wasn't all that bad there, but...
Jacob walked down the street, looking around for something that might spark his memory. Three hours went by, and he already missed the Old Lady's house. " I can find something... I just need more time. I was found in this city, so there has to be something here... " He sighed. This was hopeless..

Hunter walked into Gru'Sha, his wraith following behind him, invisible to all. Today he wore a long cloak with a wide hood, sending his face into shadow. Lately he had been distant, and he wanted to find out why he was feeling so strange. He walked through the streets, turning from habit at seemingly random corners. After a short while, he came upon a small clear area with a single tree in the middle. Beneath the tree was a bench.
It was relatively obvious that this place couldn't be found easily, and Hunter had first found it when he had been hopelessly lost amongst the tall walls and buildings. He walked over to the bench, his cloak billowing out behind him, and sat down, his head in his hands. He stared at the ground, trying to figure out what was wrong with him, as the sun rose steadily in the sky.

Jacob looked up at the sky.
" The sun... "

Jacob looked up at the sun.
" You know.. This might not turn out well. What if we failed? What would be the consequences? "
The commander sitting near him sighed.
" Don't worry. These cannons are very powerful. We can easily destroy it, especially with someone like Sey- "
" I hate that man! He sickens me. Treats everyone like crap! " Energy build up around Jacob, and the commander put a hand on his shoulder.
" Hey, Hey, calm down. Do you want to kill us all? "

Jacob wandered down the random streetways, holding his head in pain. As he reached a small clearing, where the urban chaos gave way to atleast a small amount of nature. A bench and a single tree.
There was a man sitting there.
Jacob was in so much pain, he was willing to get help from anyone.
He screamed " Help me! It hurts! " as he stumbled towards the man. But as he started to get closer, the sudden barrage of locked memories stopped, and the pain resided. A red haze swam infront of his eyes, and he collapsed.

((Collapsing in front of a Darkness? That's never good... Specially when you're not a Darkness yourself. I wonder what will happen? duh Duh DUH!))
Hunter looked over at the boy as he yelled, his hooded face showing no emotion. He watched as the boy collapsed and not once did he move. He sat for a moment longer, looking at the boy, then he stood up and walked over to him. He narrowed his eyes slightly; it was obvious the boy was a resistance. He knew what he was expected to do, but for some reason he couldn't bring himself to kill an unconscious kid. Instead, he knelt down and picked him up, then brought him over to the bench and lay him down. After this, he turned away and began walking away slowly, wondering why he felt this way, and why he couldn't simply kill the boy.

Jacob moaned as he started to awaken. His eyes suddenly snapped open and he burst into speech.
" Wyha E's cunno E dneat so ryntacd yht E dneat du cdub ceh pid E fych'd cdnuhk ahuikr! Huf draen tayt! Ymm uv dras yna tayt! " He gasped for air.
" I.. I'm sorry... *huff* Where am I? " Jacob looked around desperatly, and saw the man again. There was something there though... Something... invisible. Jacob could feel the darkness, but his mind couldn't shape it into a physical form to see.
" Your.. Oh my... Oajuh cyja sa.... Your one of the dark people that the old woman warned me about.. "
I should kill him, or atleast try, Jacob thought. He is one of the people that caused the old woman so much pain. They killed her children, and made her suffer.
" I'll just have to make you suffer as well! " He mumbled, raising his hand up.
" Blizzaga! " He yelled, but nothing happened. HE stared down at his hand blankly.
" I.. I can't... cast magic anymore? " He sighed and drew his sword.
" Defend yourself dark one! "

Hunter continued to walk away as the child began to speak, but he was listening to every word he said. He smirked as he listened. This boy wasn't very smart if he thought that he, being what, 12? Could defeat him. When he challenged him, Hunter turned around slowly, his face showing little more than amusement, although it was cloaked in shadow, so the boy wouldn't be able to see it. "If I had wanted to kill you, I would have simply done it while you where unconscious. But as it were, you caught me in a good mood, so I will pretend I didn't just hear you challenge me." he replied, his voice dark and threatening. this boy, this kid thought that he could hold his own against Hunter? Ha, that's a laugh.

Just hearing this guy ran chills down Jacob's back.
This guy is right.. I can't possibly beat him, Jacob thought. He sighed as he sheathed his sword. He was reckless, but not suicidal, and he was realizing that this man was obviously too powerful.
" I.. your right. There is no way I could beat you without my magic. "
But if I could, I would send a bolt of lightning straight through your spine! Jacob was used to being a powerful elemental mage, but whatevewr had caused him to lose his memories and had taken him here had stripped him of his magical power.
" I need to find somewhere, then, that is safe. somewhere that I can learn what happened to me. " He turned back to the man, who seemed none too pleasent, but might know somewhere like that.
" I am sorry for challenging you, that was wrong of me. But I need to find somewhere where I can learn and be safe. Can you help? "

Hunter watched this boy, listening to what he had to say with cold indifference. He knew that if this boy was looking for a safe place, the Resistance cities would be safe for him. But when the boy began to apologize, he interrupted. "Save your breath." he told him. "Apologies mean nothing."
He then thought about whether of not he would help with this boy's problem. He thought of not telling him, but, seeing as how it would do nothing, good or bad, for himself, Hunter shrugged slightly. It wouldn't be too bad to tell this kid where he could get help. It would be most likely that he would join the pending war between the two sides, and when they met next, Hunter would enjoy killing him.
But for now, he didn't think about that. "Alright, I'll tell you where you can get some help." He said. "The Resistance cities."

His first encounter with Hunter, though short, was something Jacob wouldn't forget.
" Thank you, Dark One. When we meet in battle, and we will, I will enjoy fighting you. "
Well.. I have a new goal now. Not just myself, but now I need to get strong and fight against these shadows... He sheathed his sword and walked away calmly.
( Hehe. These characters don't get along. Mayhaps I will run into Hyro/Sabrina/Insert Random Person's Name Here. When I make another character, he will be the evilness! A Drow! *gasp*)

((Lol, nice. Yeah, they don't get along, but hey, atleast hunter didn't kill him  ))
Hunter smirked as the boy began walking away. at his last comment, the one about fighting him, he replied, "Yes, and that will be the day you will die." His voice was dark, and for a moment he fingered his bow, but decided against it. he may be a darkness, but that didn't mean he would stoop to that level. so, for the third time, hunter stopped himself from killing the boy. But the next time they met... who knows what would happen. He turned on his heel, his cloak fluttering out behind him, and walked away.
