Jacob stared into the fire. As he did, it seemed to form images. More pain. Jacob's heacache was only getting worse.
"that will be the day you will die."
That Hunter scared Jacob. Just thinking of him sent shivers down Jacob's spine.
" All the more reason to get to safety, to get to a resistance city. " He muttered. " But without a map I am utterly lost. "
Ryu watched Jacob closely, from behind a tree.
He's not darkness, that is for sure. But.. He doesn't seem to be a resistance. Just a wanderer? He raised his hands, holding them directly infront of him, aimed at the boy.
" Dasagak Fyan Masu. " Ryu whispered. The tree's shadow began to flicker. It creeped towards Jacob slowly, so he wouldn't notice.
It touched Jacob's shadow, and he shivered as the dark force overcame him.
" Who.. Who's there? " Jacob asked, fearing for his life. This power that was around him, it was dangerous.
" I am a Shingami. " Ryu stepped out, and Jacob mimicked the movement, stepping towards Ryu.
" I don't believe in gods.. " Jacob said, but this man seemed to be a Death God. His skin was Dark, almost black, but with a purplish tint. His eyes were red, and they shined in the firelight. And the sword at his side certainly looked like the weapon of a Death God. It was black, at it was curved wickedly.
"Then I will change your mind.. " Ryu drew his sword, and Jacob did the same. Well, he would have. But his sword was on his back. So he reached down and grabbed thin air.

Ryu held his sword out, preparing to kill the boy. He laughed, but felt a sudden surge of pain. " Right... No killing on the job.. " He turned and started to walk, releasing Jacob from the shadow possesion.
" You lucky I have a contract. "

((ZOMG! Long post and it ties in with our written RP sheet!))
Along the treeline of the edge of the Fields of Death, Remus walked as he pondered on the many memories of home that wandered through his mind. He made his way through the tall grass as he was guided by the glow of the moon, barely visible throught the branches of the trees that towered above him. He shivered slightly as a cold wind blew past, his hair hanging in front of his eyes.
Was this place real? How did he get here? Where was Luke and Barnabis? These were just a few of the many questions that kept challenging him as he made his way. Was this some sort of dream? Was he dead? Who was that kid who looked oddly enough like Barnabis? Remus sighed as he stopped in his tracks, trying to figure out what all had happened.
He looked up suddenly to see a fire crackeling and two figures in the distance. Could it be? Was it Barnabis and Luke? Remus' heart bean racing as he finally thought he had met up with his companions again. But so far, all this strange world had to offer was deceit. He would have to get a better look first.
Remus crept through the tall grasses as he tried to remain low, peering at the ones ahead of him. As he reached the end of grassline the figures were in perfect view now. A frown appeared upon his face as he recognized the younger figure as the kid he had met earlier, the on that looked like Barnabis, Jacob. As for the other figure, he still could tell his appearance but the outline was very similar to that of Lukes.
Remus grinned, a thought of treachery formed. Jacob had said that he looked alot like his friend Zane and Jacob even told him about his friend with an identical appearance. Maybe he could claim to be Zane so the boy would not go hostile on him like he had earlier after finding out that he wasn't his dear friend. It seemed like a good plan.
Remus ripped his shirt off so Jacob wouldn't recognize his clothing. He held his katana in hand as he proceeded forward, accidently tripping over a rock and landing on his face in the process. He ignored the newly aquired wound on his left leg as he approached Jacob with a calming smile on his face.
"Jacob...it's me....Zane."
((^^*Gasp!* How decieving!!! Dude, with the wound on his leg he now looks exactly like Zane in every single aspect!!!))

Shingami Ryu took notice first. He decided to keep walking, this man was not a target either, he was after someone specific.
Jacob stared at Remus blankly. " Z.. Zane... " He stood silently.
" Frana fana oui,[Zane? Fryd rybbahat?
E's eh cu silr bye, E lyh'd nasaspan yhodrehk.. "

"Shh..." Remus said, a warm smile across his face as he silenced the boy calmly.
Remus had no understanding of this language so it was going to be hard to converse with him, so Remus just tried to calm the boy into speaking english.
"Hey, you!" Remus turned from the boy for a second to call out to the stranger.
"Who are you? Where are we?" He asked to seem as lost as possible.
The man he called out had a sort of darkness presence to him, was he friend or foe? Remus only hoped he could stay disguised as this Zane guy long enough to get to Deesa with the boy.

Ryu stopped, rather annoyed.
" My name is Shingami Ryu. Your in the middle of the Field of Death. " He answered, rather simply. " Now, I *really* have to be somewhere. " He continued off, this time nearly jogging.
Jacob looked up at Remus, smiling.
" I wondered where you were.
I met a man.. He looked just like you... but...
And there was another one.. he was saturated in dark energy, like that Shingami... It was scary.. We need to find a resistance city... " His breathe was coming in quick, ragged gasps as he felt another wave of unbearable pain wash over him.
" Please... Zane... "
