In the beginning of time, there was a darkness. that darkness swarmed across the lands, killing, enslaving, and corrupting all that it came across. Then a resistance was made: A band of fighters who refused to bow down to this darkness, and fought back. There were 8 leaders of this group, each with a special, magical companion who had mysteriously hatched from an Elemental Egg. These 8, with the help of the resistance, were able to drive back the darkness, and free their lands.
It has been thousands of years since those events, and the darkness has come again, but with no heroes, they took over the entirety of the land. Now, a new resistance is forming, and the chosen ones are slowly finding their Elemental Eggs...
I am sorry that I have disappeared for these last few months. I have been preoccupied with other sites and life, but now I'm back, and ready to start accepting some new heroes! With Earth resigning, we have the Earth creature Willow open for a new earth hero!

Zane walked down the dirty, filth ridden street, giving everyone he walked past a grim stare. He ran his leather gloved fingers along the handle of his sword as a warning to all who thought they could take him. He feared no one and nothing. He paused at a corner, looking up into the dark night sky. It slowley began snowing as he contenued down the streets. A sharp pain shot up through his bandaged leg as he stumbled reaching for it.
"Sudran vilgehk!"
He mumbled under his breath in pain. He would have to stop at an inn so he could tend to his wound. He looked around. Now to find one.

Zane limped down the dark narrow streets, still clenching his teeth. He sighed, stopping from his movement to ease the pain. Blood trickeled unto the dirty streets as he tried to contenue moving. His whole leg had gone numb due to the intense pain. It wasn't the enemy that had attacked him, but shrapnel from an explosion. Zane looked up into the sky. He had no idea where he was. Five minutes ago he was fighting in the middle of a war, the next second he's in some strange land, lying in the streets. He had to find out what was going on and report back to Captain Botto and the rest of his squad.

Derrick burst out of nearby inn, laughing as a ball of fire charged in his hand. He raised his hands up, getting ready to throw the fireball, and nearly tripped over Zane. The fireball fell to the ground, narrowly missing his leg. "What the..." Derrick stood, another ball of fire forming. He looked Zane over. "Funny. You look like a soldier, but smell like a sewer rat." He drew the sword that lay at Kane's side, silently cursing that he did not have his scimitar with him. ( Kinda short, but. )

Luka held Lainey's hand as they walked through Dee'sta wearily. He kept her close, guarding her as she was all he had left. She was just glad he was around. He stopped on a corner when he saw a man trip over and fire reappearing in his hand.
Lainey swallowed and tried to pull Luka back. "We can disappear..." She said quietly in his ear. "We don't want any trouble." She added licknig her lips and looking at the two men on the street outside the tavern.
"I know Lainey." He licked his lips. "I won't let anything hurt you." He said. Lainey sighed. "I'm not worried about me getting hurt." She said quietly.

Zane watched in confusion. He had no idea who this guy thought he was, but Zane would certainly not have himself made a mockery. Though his leg still surged with pain, Zane drew the twin scimitars from his back as he turned to the man with the sword and ball of fire. For a second, the guy reminded him of his close friend Sergeant Myrill, but Myrill would have recognized Zane by now. Zane gave him a stern look as he gripped his swords.
"Look buddy. I don't know who you think you are, but I am no sewer rat! Have you never heard of the Crusaders? I am of high rank and vermin like you shouldn't even be seen by the likes of me! So I would give it best thought on apologizing for the insult you gave me before I take matters into my own hands!!!"
He demanded grimly, his swords at his sides as he stared the man eye to eye. The mans outburst of saying that Zane 'looked like a soldier but smelled like a sewer rat' had offended him past the limits. Not even grown men talked to Zane that way, he was repected as well as feared. A chill rose through the air and the wind picked up as the cluttering of window panes on the buildings surrounding them were the only noise that broke the short silence.

Derrick almost laughed. " A crusader? Wow! I didn't know! " He threw the ball of fire at Zane. " Catch this, sir!" He said sarcastically, swinging his blade in a wide horizontal arc. This mans story was ridiculous! The crusaders were dead, every last one of them. And the insults he spoke were, do be honest, infuriating to Derrick.

Zane dropped to one knee as he swung his scimitars horizontally, extinguishing the flame with the touch of the cold, blood-stained steel. He growled as he quickly stood up. First he was insulted, now attacked? Surely he would know not to mess with a Crusaider! Why take his chances? Zane took a deep breath, staring back at the man with anger. He swung his scimitars around in each hand. "If it is a fight you want, it's certainly a fight you'll never forget!" He said taunting. He charged at the man, slashing angrily. He was going to show this guy what he was really made of.

Derrick lept to the side, easily avoiding the wild slashing. " You'll have to better than that! " Derrick chaged a ball of fire, and threw it high, aiming for Zane's head. He then sliced in diagonally at Zane's leg. ( I can't stay on long, And I want to post Jacob so... Here you go. I'll post whenever I'm let on for good behavior. )

Zane swung fast, knocking the firball aside. Though he had defended himself from the magik, he wasn't able to dodge the blade. He hit the ground, groaning in pain. This was not how a Cruisader would act, he thought, pulling himself together. He quickly got up off the ground, blood now soiling the dirty streets, his leg surging with imberable pain. He picked his swords up and charged at Derrick once again, this time slashing more vicously and rapidly.

Derrick deflected the first few slashes, but was unable to block against everything. He felt cold metal cut into his shoulder, and then something cut into his wrist. He screamed from the pain, and his sword dropped to the ground. Now that his wrist was cut badly, he was unable to even wield his sword. " Stop! " He yelled, jumping backwards to avoid furher damage. It's too much! I can't fight back now! Then give me control. Now! It was done in a flash. Kane's shoulder was fully healed, even though his shirt was ripped. His wrist was fine, and the long jagged scar on is arm healed. " Stop! " Kane repeated, not nowing what else to say.

Zane stopped his violent rampage, standing back away from the man, a smirk now on his face. He contenued to clench his teeth in pain, blood running down his leg, soaking through the fibers of the material wrapped tightly around it. "So...you charge out of a building, insult my honor, and attack me...and now you want to me to stop?" He said slightly amused, still holding back the pain he was experiencing. "I don't know wether to call you stupid or cowardly...." He once again gripped his sword, ready to fight, when it happened. A loud high-pitched scream echoed through his head as he dropped his swords, falling to the ground in a fetile position. Massive pain spread through out his body as the word ready echoed over and over, the scream following behind.
(Flashback)
________________________________________________________________________________ "Ready Zane?" Captain Botto asked again, a questionable look on his face. Zane just grinned, running his fingers through his hair. He stared up into the shadowed sky, sighing. "Haven't I always been ready?" He said, a hint of nervousness in his tone. He looked around the group of soldiers, his attention drawn towards the sea. Nothing. When was it coming? Hadn't its spawn caught its attention yet? He turned to him. He just sat there silently. "So," He started. "You ready Jacob?" ________________________________________________________________________________
The next thing Zane knew, his vision was going dark. He passed out on the dirty streets.

Kane caught the man as he fell. " Vilg! " He cursed. The man was out cold. As Kane looked him over again, he couldn't help but think that he had seen this man before. " What did he say his name was, Derrick? " He didn't. He just kept saying he was a Crusader. Derrick replied. " A.. crusader.. " That was it! " I know where I recognize him from. Let's take him home and see if we can heal him a bit. " He picked up Zane and started down the street. " Hey you! Your the one that blasted my Chef! " Shat. I suggest you take him home.. Quickly. Kane nodded and burst down the street, running at full speed with Zane on his back. Kane didn't live here, in this city. He had been on a bit of a trip. No, he lived in a resistance city. Dooma, to be precise.
